First, the Math: How tall are you? The taller you are, the larger your ideal hoop is likely to be. Check yourself - stand up tall, but relaxed, feet together evenly on the floor. Your hoop should, when “standing up” in front of you, hit somewhere between 3 - 5 inches above your navel. If you are a more luscious lady, you may want to go another inch or two up from there. :) Have a friend measure from the floor up to the magical spot above your belly button. This number (in inches) will be the Outside Diameter (OD) of your hoop.
Consider: Where will you be hooping? You may choose to hoop in your home, backyard or rooftop, or if you live in the suburbs (read: you can transport your hoop easily in a car) you can go with a Solid (non-collapsing) Hoop. If you live in the City, or plan to take your hoop on planes and trains regularly, a Collapsible Twist Hoop may be a better choice for you!
Then, the fun part: Decide on your design and colors! Would you like a criss-crossy-basketweave or candy stripes? What are your favorite colors? The possibilities really are infinite. Need inspiration? Take a look at the Hoop Gallery on Pinterest!

Caring for your hoop: To preserve the beautiful tape job, hoop it up on natural surfaces like grass and sand. Collapsible Twist Hoops should be twisted down for transportation purposes, but left open when storing. Do not leave your sweet baby (hoop) in a hot car. :) That’s it! ENJOY!
